Can I visit the house?

The Alcoa Care-Free Home is as private residence.  Folks wishing to tour/visit the house should read the VISIT page of this website and use the CONTACT form.  I will do my best to accommodate visitors, schedules permitting.  Please note that the house and studio are only able to be visited by appointment.  No impromptu visits, please.

 

Can I visit the foundphotographs.com Photo Studio and Collection?

Yes.  The Studio and Collection can be visited and toured, briefly as part of a house visit.  Please see the VISIT page of this website.

 

Why do you request visitors to the house and studio to make donations to various not-for-profit organizations?

Well, by opening the house and studio to visitors, I am essentially giving up my time.  I'd rather that time be put towards supporting relevant institutions whose worthy work needs to be funded,  It's a win-win situation: the house and studio tours don't become an exercise in vanity, but rather make a concrete contribution to the community.  They're also tax-deductible contributions so they benefit the giver as well.

 

Does a house visit include a visit to the Photo Studio?

Yes, but for an in-depth (and longer) tour of the Collection, please CONTACT me (an additional donation may be requested).

 

Can I take photographs during my visit?

Yes (within reason).

 

Are children allowed on a visit?

Not if they're under 13 years of age (infants excepted).  Please see the VISIT page of the website for more info.

 

Is the house wheelchair accessible?

Yes (though bathrooms are not ADA compliant).  Please see ACCESSIBILITY for further details on the VISIT page.

 

Is the Photo Studio and Collection wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately not.

 

Is the house available for Film/TV/Photo shoots etc.

Possibly yes, providing it's a professional shoot/location.  There would be a charge involved.  Use the CONTACT page to send me requests/details and to start a discussion about your needs.

 

Is the house available for fund-raisers/special events/etc.?

Possibly yes.  Depending on the nature of the event, a charge may be involved.  Use the CONTACT page to send me requests/details and to start a discussion about your needs.

 

Who did the interior design of the house?

I worked with a close friend of mine, the super-smart and wonderful interior designer, Irwin Weiner.
